Special thanks to:
- Kaylie, for igniting the fire with the publication of her new book, and being our first guest of honor (and taking the time to sign all our copies). Congratulations by the way, on the review in the Washington Post: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/10/02/AR2009100202355.htmldyn/content/article/2009/10/02/AR2009100202355.htmldyn/content/article/2009/10/02/AR2009100202355.html
- Edith, for initiating the search for long lost cousins by alerting us to the publication of Kaylie's book,
- Joe, for taking the long detour from Tampa to Seattle by way of NYC to join us for the gathering, and
- Aunt Pat, for the use of her apartment which was such a great venue, and for being a such a gracious hostess.
Perhaps the highlight of the evening was cousin Joe's recounting of his adventure to Gambarie in Calabria, Italy where he uncovered information about our Mosolino ancestors. Turns out we are mis-labeled as the original name was in fact Musolino [weren't those guys at Ellis Island creative?]. He also dug into the story of our supposed relative the brigante, and found that he was related although distantly. You can find information about him here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giuseppe_Musolino Joe, maybe you will find the time to sift through that bin of information you collected and write a Post about what you found, including photos you took.
Speaking of photos, here are a few from the gathering:
The cousins partake of culinary delights from Zabars; Ken (our most senior cousin present) talks with Joe.
Robert, Kate, John, and Joan reminisce. Kaylie signs Kate's copy of the book.

Lovely to see such specail people, join together how wonderful. Maybe Kaylie Jones took some time out of her schedule to spread more lies about the rest of her family especailly her mother. When you go back, and look at your family history, you will remember that thier was honor in them somthing alot you could not dream of having. You bring nothing but shame to the Mosolino family name. No Honor, No respect.
